Second part of my project

During my time in HB selling Rosa Bandet a girl came up and talked to me. She told me that her mum works with breast cancer at Karolinksa Sjukhuset and that she might be able to meet me and talk if that would be something I would like to do.

For me this sounds great and I will therefor mail this girl’s mother once I get her email address. VRG is a great school in the way that people support each other in every way there is. If you can help someone, you do it, like this girl I met that day in HB. Her help is the first big boost in the second part of my project on breast cancer. 

Second selling of Rosa Bandet in school

Today was my second day of selling the Rosa Bandet in school. A lot of the people that I met yesterday said that they wanted to buy one but did not have the money for it. So therefor I took the opportunity to sell them today as well. It was fun to be there today and actually a lot of boys bought them this time. Yesterday the boys mostly came and ate of the gumdrops but today they even listened to me when I told them about the fact that men can get breast cancer as well. It was great that they showed interest for the topic and not only for the candy.

I have almost sold half of the amount of Band I got home from Cancerfonden so it feels really good.

I sat in the same corner of HB with the same cloth and the same papers filled with the informative statements around me. People recognized me and it is really fun to hear so many telling me what a great idea all of this is. They say that they feel the importance of the subject and that this is an excellent 100 point project idea.  

Live in HB!

I'm sitting in HB right now selling Rosa Bandet. It is going well I think and there is one hour left until I will leave for today.

Here is the flyer that I have put up in school. I really hope people come and buy Rosa Bandet tomorrow and hopefully these flyers as well as posts on Facebook will have helped on that matter!

Fundraising on Cancerfondens website

Today I have opened my own fundraising site on Cancerfondens website. It is partly dedicated to my grandmother, whom I lost in the suites of breast cancer a few years ago and whom is one of the reasons for doing this project at all. It feels so good to do this and try to collect donations for the Rosa Bandet campaign. Now I only hope that people realize the importance of any small donation so that the donators and I can feel that we are helping fight cancer!

Preparing for tomorrows selling of Rosa Bandet!

Tomorrow I will be sitting in HB selling this year’s Rosa Bandet. Today I have fixed with some small props for my table tomorrow as well as papers with informative texts. There will be gumdrops in bowls so people can taste something good as well. I have also put up a few flyers in school and I will post pictures of them later today.

The package with the Rosa Banden has finally arrived! I got the letter telling me I can collect it in the nearest supermarket came just a few minutes ago. I am really excited since this really means so much to me. The pink month has begun!
